The Climbing Wall Award (CWA) is a national award for those who wish to supervise groups at climbing walls in the UK. The award consists of a training and assessment course which covers the essential skills to deliver safe, effective and enjoyable climbing sessions as well as an introduction to coaching.
The Single Pitch Award (SPA) is a national award which covers the skills needed to supervise groups of usually novice climbers in the crag environment. The SPA trains and assesses candidates in the delivery of safe, effective and enjoyable climbing sessions for climbers on outcrops, crags, and indoor climbing walls.
Continuing Professional Development Peak MT offers a number of development courses for existing national governing body award holders. Regardless of whether you are required to do some form of continuing professional development as part of your employment, or you would just like an update.
The Mountain Leader Award allows you to take groups anywhere in the British Isles, in any mountain range on ground where the use of a rope is not intended. The remit of the award allows you to lead groups in "summer conditions".
This three-day course focuses on the practical elements of leadership through WGL terrain. The course will have a strong emphasis on Navigation through both lowland and moorland terrain with a practical session looking at the skills required for basic emergency night navigation.
