BAF Alpine Skills Workshops

Sat 11th October @ 10:00 @ 16:30

Once again, Peak Mountain Training are pleased to support the Buxton Adventure Festival by offering 3 alpine skills workshops.  Each workshop aims to provide a few pointers for safe and efficient glacier travel as well as some practical opportunities to try out some improvised rescue techniques.  Ideally you should have some experience of basic rock climbing skills and have an interest in skiing, trekking or climbing in the alpine environment.

Our IFMGA Guides will be able to offer advice based not just on "what it says in the book" but on their own real life experiences of what works and what doesn't...and lessons learned from time spent in the mountains.

Places on each workshop are free, but limited, so please return the attached form as soon as possible to request a place.  If your first time preference is not available we may be able to offer an alternative depending on demand.

We will have some kit for use but it will be helpful if you bring your own harness and a small selection of slings/carabiners.
